I plan to build a new system around Nvidia RTX 3080 TI and an Intel CPU ... being Comet Lake, Rocket Lake or Alder Lake ... i haven't decided yet. These youtube tech-channels are not offering any useful information. You are all bashing Intel and speak about AMD like it is the second coming. You are very unprofessional ... and i don't need for you to choose a brand for me! I used both Intel and AMD products ... in the past! Intel CPUs, worked over my expectations, AMD screwed me over both in CPU and GPU department ... so they are Blacklisted ... permanently. There are no second chances with me. When you are Blacklisted, you are Blacklisted. Period. If i understand correctly AMD ... had 2 CPU launches in one year ... a pandemic year ... they exploited a situation in order to boost their sales ... since people were buying more. Now they are one CPU gen ahead of Intel ... and you are benchmarking CPUs from different generations. The new 5000 Ryzen series ... is just the 3000 ... with a little more IPCs ... the same number of cores ... and much more expensive. Yeah Zen-3 architecture ... stands for fixing up some bugs in Zen-1 and Zen-2 ... it's just marketing. Even one CPU generation behind ... the Intel CPUs ... are still faster, higher frequencies and they keep those numbers higher for a longer period of time ... have more cores than the 90% of the people will ever use and now they are price-competitive with AMD...on all market shares. AMD didn't even break the 5 Ghz barrier ... on their 7nm architecture ... and Intel is at 5.3 Ghz with 14nm++! If your brain is actually ... working ... that will only tell you one thing ... Intel architecture is ... way way ++ better than AMD's architecture ... Smaller chips ... just means you can stick more of them in there ... that will account for AMD's more core ... AS to how useful are these extra-cores ... please don't assume that we are all stupid. My System ... only uses one of four physical cores in 90% of my desktop operations ... and in 100% of my gaming operations. It is 2020, and i haven't encounter a single game that will make good use of a second core ... but i encounter games that actually hates multi-cores with passion (like the Bethesda games) ... and actually will hinder your gaming stability, while the performance will just remain the same. And it is not like Intel is a single-core-processor ... just because it has few less ... As for the 7-zip and Handbreak performance ... are you for real? Do you think that there is a single sane person ... that actually cares that it can code / decode a media file several second faster or compress / decompress a file? The only think that matters is the performance in games ... that is actually useful, visible, and what people actually benefit from. Otherwise ... let's agree to disagree ... imo ... The AMD's CPU are this crappy and expensive now at 7nm ... they hardly have any room to grow anymore. Imagine what Intel will do, when they will finally figure out or decide to make their chips smaller. Also we don't need 10 CPUs launches per year. I already think that one CPU and GPU launch per year ... is too much ... it's like they want to make you change your hardware, every one / two years ... We need fewer launches ... with a greater impact ... unfortunately channels like these ... are used to herd ppl into buying everything ... upgrading every year! This is petty ... AMD policy is petty ... but is what i came to expect from this brand! A good brand will never need this type of pathetic and ridiculous marketing and hype ... it will sell itself!

This shoe dryer, how water resistant would it be? I'm sailing and windsurfing and have one of those wall mounted boxes you talked about in the begining of the segment. What you are sugesting would be perfect for a competition outside of town when I'm camping by the marina. Most international competitions are mulitiple days so just a bit dryer shoes would be a big plus at the start of the second and third day of a competition. Also for normal shoes, the usual way of drying from sweat would be shoe trees(But I think in the case you are describing that wouldn't work).

When the AMD would have CUDA and RT cores and API that is used in most of the modern content creation apps from Photoshop and NLEs to 3D graphics suites and Unreal Engine wake us up. AMD with their complete lack of interaction with developers of professional software would always be losers no matter if they suggest slightly better performance. They lost in this niche even before starting a competition.

IK I'm a week late, but my Brother actually had the sweat gland thing done in high school since he actually had an oversweating issue. They basically just lasered some percentage of his glands on his pits and then it solved the issue so he now sweats like a normal person. It's not like you're just going to kill all the glands, only enough to make it not a problem. Also why do feet need to sweat?

About drying shoes/boots: I have sometimes used an aquarium air pump (cost a few dollars at Value Village) and a few feet of plastic tubing to feed a small but continuous air flow into the depths of boots, bottles, and other things that are hard to dry. It works. Pro: it's cheap. Con: powered from AC, not battery

Having a high res display in VR doesn't have to make it hard to run. The issue with screendoor is literally seeing between the pixels. Not that the things being rendered are too low in quality. You could still push a 1440p image to a 16k display and have it be easy as fuck to drive. It's all down the the display hardware/software in the display. Basic example. Turning down the render scale in a game. You are still viewing a 4k image lets say (technically) but the render itself in the backend is 1080p. There are still 4k worth of pixels in the image though.

My question for the presenters is how do you judge drivers for a product if you don't use it as a daily driver? You also give me the impression that everybody in your company is using Nvidia, so how do you know? it seems like you're repeating something you've experienced once during the launch of the product and keep repeating over the live span of it and it's successors! When I was younger I used to be Nvidia "fanboy" but with age comes some understanding so it has fizzled out. Looking forward to the response a "fanboy". (Just to balance this comment: AMD, AMD)

They knew they would sell the True Flagship of their current lineup with ease and come out with a TITAN next year with a stick-it-note "haha gotcha", all wrapped in leather.

I work in construction and, like many of my colleagues and despite the boots claiming to be waterproof, go home with wet boots after a rainy day. Boots do not dry easily e even when stuffed with paper and left next to a radiator. A device like this would be amazing especially considering my boots are often accidentally left wet in my van.

I stopped wearing winter boots in puberty because my feet would sweat so much that the boots couldn't dry overnight. As a kid I didn't have a problem like that, but ever since one horrible winter of wet feet I have been wearing regular shoes only.

I feel Linus' pain on shoes. For me, the back would always wear out. The padding would flake off and eventually a plastic frame in the shoe would be digging into my Achilles tendon. Also have the bottom wear out till the sides split. I started keeping 2 pair, one for work and rainy days and such. The other pair is for any time i won't be doing anything too active. The difference in wear between the 2 pairs is night and day, my Adidas are still in great condition while my work shoes look like hell. lol

My only GPU crashes have come from overclocking with Afterburner. Using a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8gb. I RARELY have trouble gaming at 4k, even in games like Fallout 4, it just increases load times in most cases. Trying to use RTX on top of ultra settings, however, will make my GPU crawl at 15fps. Can't wait to get an RTX card when I can actually afford it but my current GPU gets the job done well enough for now.

why not just make a gym bag/shoe dryer that's powered by usb c with an optional battery that integrates with it. Since many people may have a portable phone charger already the extra cost of the batteries could be mitigated for many and less waste this way. in addition, if it is able to produce heat, wouldn't putting in silica gel next to the fan be useful? as well as a small heater so it can dry the silica gel if it fills. The silica should make the instantaneous drying process even quicker and then later can heat the silica slowly to dry out the moisture over time.
