Razer making quality mice, good joke! I've had 5 Razer mice in my life and they all wore down and broke within 2 years, including one that only lasted 6 months, as well as having various double clicking issues. I've had a Corsair mouse now for about 2 years and it's still just like it was brand new.

The real difference isn't the responsiveness, it's the accuracy. My mouse and others often skip over data and incorrectly place the cursor because dragging them fast can cause frequency issues in adaptive mice, which is the standard. This will never happen in a 8000hz mouse. My 1000hz mouse can jump up to perceived 4995hz which makes it inaccurate when you snap it fast.

100 dollars for theoretically the best gaming mouse? As gaming gear goes, that's not that expensive, I'd actually be inclined to jump to that rather than the recommended G305, which looks like a cheap generic mouse.

What USB connection does this mouse use? Because iirc, USB 2.0 can only handle up to 1000 Hz polling rate when it comes to mice unless you overclock the USB port, but who tf is going to OC their USB just to use a mouse (nvm, people will 100% do this). I seriously hope this mouse comes with a USB 3.0 connection, though if anything, I hope that they can make a wireless version of this in the future since I'm looking into going wireless for my mouse and am basically forced to choose between the G Pro/G Pro X Lightspeed and the Glorious Model O Wireless right now, and although both look great, I'm not 100% sure they're what I'll want after having use my FK1+ for these past few years (looking to upgrade since my right click sometimes double clicks and it's annoying af and because I haven't used wireless since I used cheap $10 mice from Walmart and want to test them out).

So then, this probably won't make any difference in gaming between gamers at different levels of expertise. It won't make an intermediate a pro, or a pro an elite level gamer. But for people that are on the same level, those tiny differences mean the most laterally. It'd be like the worlds fastest runners shaving a tenth of a second off their 100 m dash when 1/100th of a second can make a difference..

I really don't see the point in super light mice, how is it a struggle to move something that weighs about 70g? also because of the seeming lack of debounce time adjustment the glorious mice are debatably better and shape as well as materials can make a much bigger difference than miniscule differences in hardware imo
