A couple updates since we filmed this: - Oculus has released the 90Hz update for the Quest 2 - Oculus Link is now out of beta, and also supports 90Hz on the Quest 2 - You can also now cast directly to a web browser

Pretty sure someone told you guys already, but with the virtual desktop app, which can be found on the quest 2 store, you can wirelessly stream your pc games to your quest with minimal latency. And this with higher bitrate than the link cable. Definitely something you guys could make a video on. The only requirement is a good router/ap with preferably 4 cpu cores to handle the transmission.

It's only facebook trying to force people to use Facebook accounts so facebook can make an argument to the advertisers that people still use Facebook. It's facebook forcing it's "customer" to stay, so facebook can claim relevancy.

wireless vr works like the vr streamer has gotten leagues better i literally use wifi streaming to play my vr games from my oculus quest cause my usb hub is just already very in use and hooking it all up is a hassle it updates constantly and while there is some latency i find its so little and you get used to it very fast and it gets better with every couple of updates honestly with a better wifi router you guys might even get a better experience then me im getting about like 500-800mgbs so you definitely need a decent connection i havent tried link in a while but imo ive had a much better time dealing with getting a wireless router then the long cable and compatibility pieces you need i feel like even tho it might have less latency the trade off is minimal and it makes ease of use and comfortability way better also wireless desktop vr for games like blade and sorcery or boneworks is amazing if you play with cords and get tripped up alot i honestly think that even when i get a nicer vr set up ill still use my oculus quest as a wireless vr option for certain titles that benefit from being wireless like vr chat or when watching movies

You can use virtual desktop to play pc games wirelessly without delay. im doing that now. just make sure you have a good 5GHz connection with very good speed. (im having no delay and i have 500 mbps down)

the cable is actually useless, playing wireless with 5ghz connected to pc is really amazing, no input lag at all, i can't see experience any lag, the only down is the battery

tbh this isn't what i expect from linus tech tips. no comparisons. no mentions of any artifacts or latency or whether it's good or bad (others say it's great after the update) no mention of whether or not link has performance penalty compared to native PCVR no mentions of display colors and quality etc

here is what I don't get. If you link it to your computer you get a performance bump. But does that size of the improvement correspond to how good the computer is? Or will any computer at min specs or above look exactly the same?

The facebook inside out tracking is not by mistake...... I think they want to make an algorythm that would make ads more "relevant" to you by using those cameraes. Lets say the quest 3/4 comes out, and they have managed to make it reccognize that your computer monitor was released 7-9 years ago..... Then boooom, loads of adds for great new computer monitors that should be in the range for someone with your budget. Calculated by how expensive the stuff around you is, or just what job you have listed at your facebook account. Pheeeeww.... That is enough Alex Jones`ing for me today.
