OLED "burn-in" is the number one reason I'm longing for eventual micro-LED big gaming format monitors, rather than OLED or mini-LED monitors (which is different from micro-LED). Sadly it's going to be a long time.

Guys. DON"T buy this. Wait for 6K or 8K monitors, or buy a 43" unit. You'll still see pixels with a 4k 43" unit, and this 48" unit will make it worse.

5:15 ... resolution actually looks way better on the Asus. The millisecond pixel transition differences would be undetectable by the human eye ... hence the HSC

Same was with plasmas... EVERYTHING you said. From refresh speed to image burn in. But nobody understood, so they went dead. I'm truly afraid for OLED future, people are ignorant of better, the only thing is price.

I got the 55 inch and it’s perfect to me , i never use the PC on a regular desktop setup ,i prefer using it from siting in a recliner and using a lap desk for my mouse and keyboard , not only is it far more comfortable and alllows me for prolonged use time it also positions me in perfect distance from my audio 2.1 setup allowing much better soundstage

I got a Samsung UN40NU7200F last year and i love it. It is definitely not as high-end like this one, but for what I do it is excellent. I was hoping to see better performance within yrs and this is a straight upgrade. After I'm done upgrading my PC first, this will be considered to look at..... thank you señor!!!!

I was always dreaming of a 21:9 plasma! Philips seemed to not have much success with those panels. But yea, now, I'd sure love to see a 21:9 OLED. Such a shame that Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray never had anamorphic support.

I use for a while now an LG 43 inch 4k. I like it very much. Also, just activated the powertoys that could be helpful. The things I like about it is: You basically run 4 1080 21 inch without bezel. You don't need scaling, you don't have to think about the position of the tv, only think of the position of the window.

Sorry Oled =Burn in with static images. Gaming has static images. You have a static Windows 10 Desktop with Icons. Never ever.Even if you change your images constantly or Shut the TV off on a Black screen. They will never perfect it. Not running it full brightness what's the point? I saw another video with the RTINGS results. Call of Duty No Burn in. Fifa. Burn in . Besides worrying about burn in takes away the enjoyment. Oleds are awesome But not for gaming. And with a desktop with static Icon's. let's see you made this OCT 20th . If it's been used everyday, It has burn in by now. I watch a lot of your videos you are very smart. Stick with computers and Led monitors. But i did subscribe this time.

There's tons more EMF from this huge TV than your monitor - all the controller boards, chips, etc. I wonder how safe it is to sit to close to it. Say, do you want to have kids? :-)

The reason you do not use OLED displays as a computer monitor is that the image can burn into the display! OLED displays are not made for static content.

You know you can auto hide the task bar? I'm been using the lg cx 55inch and love it!! LG did a great job and they implement new technology to reduce burn in.

You can only achieve 4K/120Hz resolution if your GPU supports HDMI 2.1. The TV only has HDMI 2.1 connections that can display 4K/120Hz. I With my Geforce RTX 2080Ti, it is therefore not possible to display 4K/120Hz. A maximum of 4K/60Hz can be displayed via HDMI 2.0.

Thanks Linus! I'm not too worried about burn-in because I've had this 60" Plasma of mine (LG) of course for 11 years and yes there is burn-in but you must be standing right next to it to see it clearly.

i also have an old 2017 lg 43uh630 4k rezolution ... as my monitor ... and its perfect !!! comparing with old 2017 a 27 inch fhd monitor benq ... wich cost almost same as the tv ... but just fhd rezolution ... not 4k !!!

If your TV is HDMI 2.1 and you have a RTX 30 series then yes.if not, you can still play 1440p 120hz via HDMI 2.0

@Linus it would be nice to mention the PC mode that is required for some LG oleds to disable chroma subsampling. Took me a while to find it. For example for a B9 (2019) you need to go to home dashboard (hold source button) and then select edit and change the icon for the HDMI input you are using to PC (very strange that the icon matters indeed). I've used my LG OLED with my HTPC, static images result in image retention and over a long period there is burn-in, or more accurately burnout. The burnout became so atrocious, that we had to get the screen replace, luckily under warranty. This is why I wouldn't use an OLED for my primary monitor.

I am planning to purchase this along with an HDMI 2.1 to use on a new R11 Alienware with RTX 3080 and plan to power it at max resolution. Does anyone know if I would still be able to also extend desktop to two additional DELL 27" UHD monitors each at 2560x1440? The 3080 states resolution max output is 7680x4320, this 48" CX would be 3840x2160. Does this mean I am "left with 3840x2160" and thus cannot power dual 2560x1440 since that would be 5120x2880 requirement. I'm kind of a newb and this would be my first time buying a fancy gaming PC and GPU, sorry if this is an elementary question. BTW, I plan to use the monitor for daytrading software and charts.
